[The RPG Place]

Submissions

Yes, I am now accepting submissions from basically everyone. Here's the way it works:

Read the Submission Guidelines. Decide if your submission fits within these guidelines. I am currently accepting guides, fanfics, reviews, and articles (editorials). I will accept articles of all types, and I will accept reviews for all games (provided there are no spoilers!) The games for which I am currently accepting guides and fanfiction are:

Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy I
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X-2
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
The Legend of Dragoon
Lord of the Rings: The Third Age
Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete
Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete
Neverwinter Nights
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Valkyrie Profile

This list, of course, will be updated as I complete more games.

Okay, so your submission fits the guidelines? Good. Email it to me at rina@rpgplace.net. The subject line of your email should go something like this: RPG Place Submission - [Type of Submission] - [Game]. So if you were submitting a Final Fantasy VIII fanfic, your subject line would say: RPG Place Submission - [Fanfic] - [Final Fantasy VIII]. Things to include in the body of your email are:

  • Your name (the name that you choose to be identified as, not necessarily your real name)
  • The title of your submission
  • The game for which you are submitting
  • The email address I can contact you at
  • The email address, if any, that you want me to post with your submission

Don't forget to attach your work! I will accept .txt, .html, and .doc (for Windows) files. If you're on a Macintosh, please save your file into one of these three formats, because I can't read Mac files anymore :(

Once I get your submission, I will email you back to let you know I have received it. Then it goes into my queue of submissions to review. Once I have reviewed it, you get another email from me, either telling you that I have accepted your submission, or telling you that I've rejected it. If I reject it, I will usually tell you why.

Becoming a Contributor

Everyone who had been accepted as a contributor at The RPG Place by July 24, 2003 remains one until he or she requests that I no longer keep him/her on as one. If you submit to me after July 24, 2003, then you must submit 20 pieces of work (and I have to accept them) to become a contributor, at which point you get a bio page in the Contributors Section and your submissions get priority for posting.

Becoming Staff

Simply put, when I want staff, I'll send an announcement to all contributors asking who feels like helping out. If you aren't already a contributor, I'm sorry to say that your chances of making staff are slim to none. I need proof that you're capable of good quality work, and also I need to know that you meet my other standards.
