Wakka

Wakka is the captain of the Besaid Aurochs, the worst blitzball team in Spira. He's a big, goofy guy, but he packs quite a punch on the battlefield. Wakka is a very devout believer in Yevon, following the teachings completely even if he doesn't quite understand the reasoning behind all of them.

Wakka's extremely high accuracy allows him to hit almost any aerial enemy you may encounter. In addition to an insanely high hit rate, he also possesses a fair degree of strength and a lot of speed. His ability to inflict status ailments is also very useful. Once he finishes his own section of the Sphere Grid, try sending him through Auron's area to pump up his Strength and HP.

Wakka's Overdrive: Slots

Wakka's Overdrive involves spinning a series of reels and trying to match up the symbols. He starts with the Element Reels; the other three must be won in Blitzball tournaments. I've listed the effects of the Overdrives below.

Element Reels: Match up the coloured spaces. Red is fire, blue is water, white is ice, and yellow is lightning. If all three slots match, Wakka performs an attack of that element against all enemies. If two of the slots match, Wakka performs an attack using both elements shown against a random enemy. If none of the reels match, Wakka unleashes a physical attack against a randomly chosen enemy.

Attack Reels: The three symbols indicate hit, hit twice, and miss. When you are done selecting reels, the number of hits is added up, and Wakka performs that many attacks. If all three slots match, the number of hits he performs will be doubled.

Status Reels: The symbols indicate status attacks. If none match, Wakka performs a regular attack. If you match two, the corresponding status will be inflicted on one enemy. If you match all three, the status will be inflicted on all opponents.

Aurochs Reels: Has all the symbols from the previous reels, and an extra Aurochs symbol. Match Aurochs symbols for an extra powerful attack.
