Ixion is a defensive powerhouse, although not necessarily so great on attack. His Aerospark special attack, though, can be wickedly useful, as it causes non-elemental damage to a single enemy and negates Protect, Shell, Regen, Haste, Reflect, and Nul spells.

Ixion's overdrive, Thor's Hammer, does lightning-elemental damage to all enemies. As per usual for Overdrives, there will be a significant lag between the Overdrive and Ixion's next turn. Because Ixion is lightning-elemental, he comes with the spells Thunder and Thundara already learned, and can cast them on himself to heal himself. He also comes with the NulShock and NulTide spells.

Activate the Saturn Crest on Kimahri's Spirit Lance to break Ixion's damage limit.
